Web results use our server-side SearXNG gateway. Engines receive your query, not your browser's IP.

Preferences stay on this device. Search queries do not.
HTTPS encrypts traffic between your browser and OpenSearch. Our server processes your query to find results; search is not end-to-end encrypted.
We do not save your search queries, use advertising trackers, or build a search profile. Queries travel in POST requests, not page addresses. Network providers may still see connection metadata.
Web mode forwards queries through our SearXNG server to search engines. Index-only mode keeps queries within OpenSearch. Opening a result connects you directly to that site.
ClamAV checks fetched page bytes in our index. A clean scan means no known malware detected at that time. It does not certify a website, its downloads, or future content. Unchecked results are labeled.
OpenSearch cannot switch on a device-wide VPN or verify that one is connected. Use your operating system's VPN settings or your VPN app. HTTPS protects your connection to this search site.
Bring your Openctl account. Search stays private whether you sign in or not.
